For more than 17 years the Fresnel Prism and Lens Co. has been
providing outstanding service and quality products to eye care
specialists. The company began when Eugene Lewan saw a need for
additional products to assist in the diagnostic and therapeutic issues
related to eye care. This was especially noted when working with eye
care specialists i.e. Pediatric & Neuro Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists,
Optometrists and other low vision practices.
In 1998 James Pook joined the company as vice president after several
years in the optics field for 3M. Jim purchased the company in August
1999 and has since been moving the company forward by providing
unique solutions to individual needs and adding new products for a large
array of optical needs.
Kathy Armstrong, Jim's daughter, joined Fresnel Prism and Lens Co. in
2002. She is in charge of marketing efforts and the office in Minnesota.
The Fresnel Prism and Lens Co. has had 3 homes since Gene Lewan
started the company. Siren, WI was it's first home starting in 1985 a
small town in the Midwest. Then Gene moved the company to
Scottsdale, AZ in 1992. After Kathy joined the company she said she
would not move to the desert so the company moved back to the Midwest
in August 2003, this time to Eden Prairie, MN, a suburb southwest of
Minneapolis.
We are still a small personal office and look forward to working with you
